3 Steps to Empowerment When Life Goes Crazy!

Life is made up of challenges, testing you time and time again to ensure you grow and evolve. Especially as an entrepreneur or creative, if you don’t learn how best to flow with and surrender to these situations you end up wasting energy either fighting or falling victim to them. A simple approach to how you can meet your next life challenge head on and come out empowered in three easy steps;

FEEL

Check in and ask yourself; Am I allowing this to trigger me? What sensations am I noticing? Bring your attention and awareness to the energy / emotions / physical dis-ease that is playing out. You may want to write it down to get it out, speak to someone your trust like a loved one, coach or mentor, step back and take a walk, meditate. Choose the way you find most suitable to you to ‘feel into’ what and how you are experiencing the situation.

*NOTE Feeling into does not mean be overcome with feelings and emotions. It means being aware of when you are losing your power; letting it drain from you or giving it away to a person or situation. It is in this state that you move with more ease into the next phase of letting go by being the Witness.

LET GO

The griping of the frustration, anger, sadness pain etc is burning up your energy supplies and using your body and mind to silence your heart, spirit and soul in the process. This is not how you want to function and it is not going to help your creative juices flow.

This is the time to step back and see your life like a painting or a movie playing out before you. Watch yourself; be the viewer and witness what is going on. This is called detachment and it can lead you to clarity. Which in turn leads to heightened consciousness as you are recreating a fresh perspective, one without the dramatic emotions. From this place, you can make conscious choices using discernment not irrational or ignorant reactionary choices. (We have all been there!)

When you can detach from what is playing out you are giving permission for your heart and soul to take the lead. This removes the ego out of the star role and puts it into the background.

It is in this phase you bring in visualisation and sense, see, feel, yourself in your sacred space. Often for me this is floating in space with my spirit guides, rooted deeply to mother earth while feeling like I am in a temple on top of a mountain far above the drama below. Wherever it is for you, this is the time when you want to go ‘home’ to the temple in your mind to create still calmness, let go of what no longer serves and reconnect to your heart and Spirit.

FILL UP YOUR OWN CUP

From here you want to create space and silence to tap into your inner guidance and ask, “What do I need right now?” Once you ask this, honour it by taking action. This allows you to take back your power as you have consciously, actively, stepped out of the drama into the space you choose to be.

You have gained clarity and insight and used that inner wisdom to lead you back on your path, back ‘home’ to love and light and realigned ready for creativity to flow.

You may also like to place your left hand on your yoni / womb or lower abdomen and your right hand on heart and ask the Divine Source “work through me / guide me / show me.”

Remember, be patient and gentle with yourself; loving kindness and compassion goes a long way to support an empowered journey of a life time.  And also, know that no matter what you are a soul made of consciousness, of love and light. You’re divine body temple is here to assist your heart, mind, soul and Spirit – do not let the emotions it can carry drive you. The key is to be the light amid the chaos.

Be the light!

With Love, Elise / S*M
